Once they roamed the land by the thousands,
Chippewa,Apache,Chirakawa and Sioux too,
Hunting, fishing, fighting, loving and passing on their history,
til the white man ruined their sacred ways,
and vanquished their brave men.
Living free and bothering nobody they cared for the land,
Navajo,Commanche, and Iraquois too got removed from their natural home,
there were few left to pass on their way of life to the next generation,
colorful and bright were these brave souls so full of life.
Their wonderful heritage savagely erased by uncaring men,
these brave indians roamed the rivers, plains, mountains and forests,
the rightful owners of the land mercilessly removed.
Now they roam the fertile dreams of a new generation,
being no more than figments of the imagination,
a large and important part of our history long forgotten,
trampled without care into the dust,
these wonderful indians now forced to roam as gentle spirits,
within our minds riding round our faint memories as galloping ghosts.

A tribute to our Native American forefathers. A great and beautiful part of our heritage shamefully wiped out.
