growing pains

when kids grow: their emotions go high and low:       the growing pains they go through: they effect the parents too:       teenagers are like a roller coaster up and down: one minute so happy, the next deep with a frown:       as a parent you try your best: but whatever you say or do your teens will detest:       respect seems to go out the door: teenagers act like they care no more;       tense times a parent goes through: constantly they are thinking what to say and do:       finally no more words are said: you get up pass each other, then go to bed:       its a bad feeling when to your own kids you dont talk: they just get up and away they walk:       a teenager all of the sudden they want to be all grown: but as a parent be sure to them, you let your feelings known:       when you feel their respect is lost: a parents emotions feel so tossed:       you remember your teen as a baby so small: now tall, they act as they know it all:       it comes to a point that no words you say: seems no matter anyway:       they listen not: when for you no respect they got:       treat them as an adult as they think they are: then really watch them and see which way they go and how far:       one moment a teen will act so grown, and the next moment as a child: they go from so wild,to being quite mild:       the growing pains from a child to a teen: is the greatest challenge as a parent i have seen:       i raised my teens the best i knew how: and i will do my best with them even now:       when they were small they would listen more: they wouldnt storm away and in your face slam the door:       a parent feels as a rollar coaster up and down: they cant help but to wear a frown:       but through it all ya gotta smile and say: just do your best anyway:       the growing pains they will come to pass: this aggravation will not always last:       the reason im taking this all so bad: i never let my parents down when i was a lad:       respect to my mom and dad i always gave: i still miss my dad 16 years gone in his grave:       i feel so betrayed now by my two teens: this has been to me a bad dream:       i will try to pick myself up from this low: and in my life again shine and glow.:     jdj   11-21-1996:
