"dont slam the screen door"
dont slam the screen door: i remember my mothers plea for sure: in the hot summer as a kid,we would be outside to play: we would be out all day: when we got thirsty,we would run inside for a drink: then outside again in a blink: every hour or two,we needed an ice cold drink: always we forgot about the screen door,we didnt think: one time my mother, she was waiting for me,she caught me by the ear: she led me to the sink---I RECALL WITH FEAR: she washed my mouth out with soap, and made me drink: never, ever again did i slam the screen door she made me think: jdj 09-27-2005:
