Returning the Righteous CityIsaiah 1:21-27 How does a righteous city turn to sin? When the government is ruling within; Right decisions as given by the judges, On cases brought forth with grudges. But now the city being full of murders, As harlots wait at all the street corners; And silver is no longer as a true alloy, Making money look and feel as a decoy. Many chiefs have gone against the Lord, As friends of thieves against His Word; Decisions go not for the fatherless child, While the mother allows him to go wild. On this, God will find ways for to punish, Whoever has sinned He will admonish; And He will give judges just as before, That shall reopen the righteous door. The city shall be one of righteousness, Upright acts as the price of forgiveness; Ruled by a leader who believes in prayer, As righteous people move back there.
