boogie  man

driving home from my grandparents house,my dad scared me about the boogie man:   when i saw that beacon of light,i hid behind the seat,as fast as i can:        the beacon light,i didnt know as a boy was an airport search light:   all i know when i saw that light,it gave me fright:        that beacon light stretched out of sight:   really everyone laughed at me,scared of the boogie man at night:        the boogie man was gonna get me,i was trapped in the back seat of the car:   that boogie man light stretched so far:        i might of been a boy,of four or five:   when my dad would scare me alive:        but now thinking back,i remember the fear well:   as with this poem i tell:        finally i learned to face my fear, and i would watch that beacon light:   it wasnt long, before i beat the fright:        my confidence rose high:   as i found the boogie man was a joke and lie:        no more did i fear that beacon of light in the sky:   the boogie man use to make me hide and cry:        i learned to face my greatest fear:   i learned no boogie man was near:        i never had to run and hide again:   hearing of the boogie man pretend:      jdj---10-04-2005:
