Sacrificing for HeavenMark 9:41-50 Whoever gives a cup of water to drink, Because you bear the name of Christ; Their Heavenly reward shall not shrink, Of a desire shown for to be sacrificed. If you cause a child with faith to sin, It is better to tie your neck to a rock; Then having yourself to be thrown in, At the edge of the ocean from a dock. If your hand causes sin then amputate, Tis better as maimed than going to hell; Since Satan would never even hesitate, In throwing you down his fiery well. Tis better as lame than two sinful feet, Or blind instead of having a sinful eye; It will be Satan instead of God you meet, Where their worm and fire will not die. Salt is good, but if it loses its taste, How will you ever be able to season it? Be given by another who has embraced, With peace and love that will not quit.
