a tasteless childhood
can you imagine a toddler who never got a hug:
who was left crying on the living room rug:
can you imagine a child never praised:
who was kept in a cloudy haze:
can you imagine a child crying themself to sleep:
who was ignored,and shamed so deep:
childhood memories last a lifetime:
even into old age the memories shine:
can you imagine a childhood full of hurt:
when as a child you were treated like dirt:
the chain of abuse is passed down:
when all you learned to do was frown:
to break out of the chain:
you have to go through the rain:
the change can start with one:
a new loving tradition begun:
give your children a taste of god's love:
treat them as angel's,blessed from god above:
a tasteless childhood can be put to rest:
when you live with god,at your best:
the tasteless childhood doesn't have to remain:
god's love will free you from the pain:
from a tasteless childhood,break the mold:
close to your heart,the love of god the almighty hold:
