His Delightful PleasurePsalm 40:1-8 While I was waiting for the Lord, His heart had been turning to me; Since my faith was from His Word, He gave an ear to my crying plea. He took me from a desolate land, Traveling across the oceanic abyss; Journeying over the burning sand, To a place that is a heavenly bliss. He gave me a new song for to sing, Praising and worshiping our God; Building my faith with joy to bring, With a fear when I honor and laud. Happiness is having faith in Him, And not honoring men with pride; Or deceitful ones disguising grim, That entices the naive heart inside. Great are the wonders from the start, Being awestruck by His lush treasure; As His laws are engraved in my heart. For my delight is to do His pleasure.
