As I sit quietly meditating under the stars,
with the fiery glow of my campfire for company,
an epiphany bursts brilliantly upon my mind,
causing me to take inventory of my life.
With the sweet scent of aspen and the rushing of the brook,
accosting my senses, I take stock of who I am
and what I endeavor to become.
A ravenous longing takes it's powerful hold upon my weary heart,
winding it's way through my soul and filling my mind,
causing me to desire to redirect my ways,
to become less feral and not so errant in my thoughts.
As the fire quietly burns down to embers,
I make up my mind and affirm to God above,
that from this day forth I'm going to turn my life around.
