A Righteous PoliticianI Peter 2:13-17 Keep all laws of man for the Lord's sake, Whether it be a king, governor or mayor; Honor and respect to the ones that make, While being a good citizen and taxpayer. Praise those in government doing good, In having thoughts of God that are first; Laws that are pleasing to God would, Ensuring him never to hunger or thirst. But to those who may abuse the power, To be found guilty and punished in time; God will be picking the day and the hour, For them to be paying for their crime. It's the pleasure of God that foolish men, Be put to shame by their bad behavior; For using such a position for evil when, He should be there helping his neighbor. Serving the people as servants of God, Having respect for all as their brother; Being honest and upright not as a fraud, And showing love to God like no other.
