Christ's words are a lamp unto my feet,
casting a wonderfully warm light upon my dark path,
giving me loving guidance along the way.
His words course through me as a living thing,
they are deep as a river,
and wider than the expanse of time,
bringing sweet relief and strength in times of despair,
overwhelming joy in those times of turmoil and struggle,
giving me the power to carry on when I face troubled times.
Christ's words are glorious and bright,
ever empowering and encouraging my frightened mind,
giving me the courage to carry on,
His words bring sweet joy and peace to my weary soul.
Because of Christ's tenderly spoken words to me,
I shall live by His righteous precepts,
keeping them securely locked within my heart,
where they shall fill my soul with their righteous power,
allowing me to live and serve Him faithfully day by day.
