Long grass waves merrily at me,
and the cool sun drenched waters kiss the lakeshore,
catails sway happilly in the cool breeze.
The sun beats down upon me mercilessly,
as I sit waiting with pole in hand,
hoping to catch that trophy fish,
that I've always dreamed about.
Suddenly without warning my pole begins to shimmy and shake,
bending magnificently in my hands,
the line goes taut and my reel begins to scream,
giving great excitement to me.
After a long battle of give and take my worthy foe tires,
and giving one last great leap,
he gives up his glorious fight for freedom,
and at long last I reel my trophy in,
and to my delight find I've at last caught the big one.
