Give Thanks

Psalm 136

O give praise to our Lord God,
For His mercy stays the same;
Give praise to honor and laud,
Worship and praise His name.

He has done wonderful things,
By His wisdom made Heaven;
The light from the sun it brings,
As the moon at night has given.

He gave dry land for us to walk,
For moving about with two feet;
As well as a mouth for us to talk,
With fish in the sea for us to eat.

He helps us in times of trouble,
And shields us against our foe;
To dig us out of toils and rubble,
As He comforts us from our woe.

He freed us from being a slave,
Guiding us through waste land;
He brings us back from the grave,
If we abide within His command.
