Take HeedTake heed that no one leads you astray, As false prophets are coming each day; So many to say they come in His name, With misleading doctrines to proclaim. You will hear of wars and rumors thereof, As well as sinful greed and lustful love; Earthquakes and hurricanes to destroy, Pestilence and famine out to deploy. For nations will rise up against another, With extreme animosity for each other; Do not be alarmed as it must take place, The end is not yet till you see His face. Because of wickedness love grows cold, Patience grows thinner while getting old; But anyone who endures to the very end, Will be greeting Jesus as their friend. So preach this Gospel to the entire world, As the plan of God begins to be unfurled; To be a testimony unto all of the nations, When the end will come with tribulations. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2005 Richard Newton Sherrer Matthew 24:3-14 There are a lot of false prophets out there. You can see them on television and hear them on the radio. They write books and newspaper articles. You can not get away from them as they proclaim to be the one true voice for the Lord. The problem is that they serve a different lord that is filled with greed. They will reference various scripture verses that work towards their own advantage and no one else. The end is near actually for them if you do not send them the money for fattening their own bank account. Many of the scriptures can be taken out of context if you use just one or two verses. You can get a completely differently meaning from the same verse if not read before and after it. That is the main reason why I reference as many as ten or twelve verses in my poetry. I am not a false prophet out to deceive others. My purpose is proclaiming the Gospel and the Holy Word of God as God intended it to be. I am merely a messenger advising you to take heed.
