 Pieces Of Love

The heart so fragile, a precious place
Where kept are those we once embraced
Slices of life, sweet was their taste
Their touch holds still a special face

Although move on in life we do
Memories of her and him you knew
Live on where light no longer shines
Inside of all broken by time

A kiss once soft still brings a smile
Sharing it's warmth for just awhile
And once again empty departs
of what was left, a broken heart

Love keeps awake memories that slept
dormant disturnbed where once we wept
For him and her one of a kind
now out of sight but still in mind

Pieces of love reigning supreme
above, beyond our wildest dreams
Will keep what once we knew of them
Shattered young hearts that time would mend
