An Angelic EncounterThe birth of Jesus started out like this, His mother Mary soon in wedded bliss; To a man named Joseph was her fiance, But seem to be an obstacle in their way. He discovered that she was with child, Meaning as his bride to be was defiled; For he being an honest and upright man, That sort of putting a snag into his plan. No desire to make her a public example, And about the thoughts of other people; An unwed mother considered as a tramp, Even though he knew she was no vamp. But an angel of the Lord came to him, Saying that he should not feel so grim; Worry not on taking Mary as his wife, For the Holy Spirit gave the baby life. Onto her a son she will be given birth, For salvation from sin of all the earth; The given name of Jesus as to be heard, So prophecy comes true in the Word.
