The Messiah ComesThose walking in the dark, Have seen a great light; Shining where they embark, In the land of deepest night. You made them very glad, Increasing them in their joy; Chasing away all the sad, That fear uses for to deploy. Division in aftermath of war, Onus of yoke about the neck; Oppression curbs any uproar, Of anyone that might object. Soldier in step for each boot, Bloodied clothing into a fire; Halting rebellions at the root, Causing people to be in dire. But unto us a child is given, As a Mighty Prince of Peace; Sent by our Father in Heaven, And His rule will never cease.
