The Eyes of a ChildLooking through the eyes of a child, What do you think we would see? Someone that has not yet defiled, And still as innocent as they can be. Influence from others not yet start, Other than that of mom and dad; Purity and goodness in their heart, That still is not either sour or bad. Their mind is like an empty book, That is still required to be written; And still name about their outlook, Or temptation of Satan not bitten. But as they grow older and explore, Temptation comes and sets within; Looking behind a forbidden door, As they discover a world of sin. Jesus said for they come unto Him, For He is the way, truth and life; Rather than where it may be grim, On the pathway of toils and strife.
