a daughters love
a father daughter team:
early on you can see the love so bright it beams:
the little girl runs to her daddy and jumps into his arms, as soon as he opens the door:
a daughter a father adores:
there bond so strong:
they both hum along:
then one day the daughter will go astray:
trying to find her way:
she wants her daddy to just let go, give her space:
to grow up over night becomes her race:
once she goes on that first date:
no more openly talk, everything becomes a debate:
a father feels betrayed:
his life is delayed:
his little girl, needs him no more:
he wants to preserve and protect her innocense for sure:
before you know it, love is in her eyes:
she can't hide it with any disquise:
really you feel so happy to see her smile:
but a father knows at 14, it's only a love trial:
her dad can see, she has given away her heart:
when too early at 14, a first love will start:
her emotions are rampant, up and down:
one minute smiling,laughing, the next crying with frown:
a father only wants for his daughter the best:
he doesn't want her to settle for any less:
his little girl now gone:
a dad thinks where did i go wrong:
they have no words to speak:
he feels bismal and weak:
slow your daughter down:
keep her always close around:
don't let her friends come in over her family:
don't let her run so open and free:
a father and daughters love will rebound:
will come back stronger and greater than you ever found:
a father and daughter there love together will beam again bright:
there love so strong for always with delight:
the life long bond of father daughter friendship will form:
for life so loving and warm:
