A Joyous Day

Such a joy waking up today,
Thanking the Lord as I pray;
As it brings me to a new start.

So as I get up out of my bed,
The joy is filling up my head;
As it brings a song to my heart.

I would love to tell everyone,
Precisely what God has done;
And all that I greet to impart.

But there are those out there,
Who do not want me to share;
While Satan desires to thwart.

My wisdom comes from God,
Whom I give honor and laud;
And made me spiritually smart.

My faith in God remains strong,
As my trust in Him is not wrong;
For I know He will never depart.
