"Truly Missed"

This poem was dedicated to my friend
Tammy L. Hush who passed away July 16, 2000

She came into this world so lovely and pure,
Not knowing the pain she would one day endure.
Blond, blue eyes, and a lovely smile,
On July 16Th she went her last mile.

Her body was tired and so very weak,
She closed her eyes and went to sleep.
She was sweet, gentle, and kind.
I will truly miss this friend of mine.

She gave so much and asked nothing in return,
This is a lesson we all need to learn.
She had lots of friends but not one of them
Was more important than her husband, Tim.

Tweedy bird was a happy joy,
But not as much as Christopher, her baby boy.

Some people in life have a special bond,
In my life Tammy L. Hush has been one
I would say "Tammy, how are you feeling today?"
She would smile and say "OK".
But I could see that it was not a good day.

She hid it so well and most people never knew
The terrible pain that she was going through.

She loaned me her shoulder when James passed away,
And told me I would see him again one day.
She never complained, as some people would,
She looked at me gently and said she understood.

I know death is something we cannot not sever,
But beautiful memories will last forever.
Sleep on sweet Tammy, and I know this,
In my lifetime, you will be truly missed.
