Life as a FrogI look out over the pond, Shrouded by a misty fog; Tranquility feeling fond, As I hear a lonely frog. I wonder how life for him, As he sits there all alone; Is he filled of joy or grim, Or as a king on his throne. His life is not as complex, As ours in having become; No worry about paychecks, Just another bug or crumb. But we are really fortunate, Having a life with a hope; Since our life is adequate, While God helps us to cope. For the frog does not know, When his life will ever end; But with Christ we follow, In being our eternal friend. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
