 Tough Love
Tough Love

It was a difficult decision that had to be made
A decision that she never wanted to make
How did this happen she doesn't know quite sure
But now that it's happened it is tormenting her

She was a good mother she thought to the both
She treated them fairly she even took the oath
But something went wrong one went astray
She has to do something and it has to be today

They've battled for years since the day of their youth
One filled with lies while the other told the truth
The battle is brewing dangers in store
She's about to do something to stop this cold war

She calls the authorities to them she did squeal
She gave them the facts she made them a deal
They sent him to prison breaking her heart
It was her decision for him to depart

She has two sons to whom she both loves
The one thing they lack is brotherly love
She showed one tough love although it did hurt
She hopes that one day he will convert

Sometimes it don't matter what we teach our kids
They have their own choices some choose to skid
So don't blame yourself it's not always your fault
Just do what you know best and hope they never fall
