Temporary ShellsWe seek purpose within our lives, That the end is not in eighty years; Continuing as our spirit survives, And putting a stop to all our fears. Merely a speck of time in this state, We are living within a fleshy shell; Unknowing how long we must wait, Until our Savior comes to excel. Our bodies that we have on earth, Only temporary while we are here; They being corrupted since birth, Just so long as our soul can adhere. The cost of maintenance runs high, As the various parts just fall apart; So as we travel in time it has to die, When our systems will not restart. But fear not and so be not afraid, For you this does not mean the end; If redeemed your soul will be saved, In a new body to Heaven you ascend.
