Monday Morning RushMonday has come again, Seems as it just had been; While I lift up my head. My eyes still not awake, As my muscles quake; Trying to get out of bed. I had to shower and shave, Breakfast in the microwave; Nutrify my body to be fed. I saw the time on the clock, So I must run and not walk; Driving in the car and sped. Light is red I could not wait, If I did I am sure to be late; So I kept going instead. I never saw the other car, Regrettably more than a scar; The doctor pronounced dead. Now that I am feeling so hot, I wish I gave God more thought; More repenting than I said. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
