Mrs B

Mrs B so sweet and kind
Laughs for ever in my mind
Nothing done on her funeral day
Can ever take Mrs B away
No burial box nor cremation pyre
Can take away that creative fire
That Mrs B so sweet and kind
Lit and re lit in my mind
She made me laugh she made me cry
She inspired me once more to try
To paint with words my very soul
Mrs B made me poetically whole
Though I told her she never really knew
Just exactly what she helped me do
We talked on the phone we talked on the net
But Mrs B and I never physically met
We always intended to soon someday
But now Mrs B has gone away
And I try to show in these puny lines
What Mrs B has left behind
I think my work has grown and grown
Mrs B how I wish you'd really known
Mrs B so sweet and kind
Laughs for ever in my mind
Nothing done on her funeral day
Can ever take Mrs B away
