I awoke one night
And sitting by my bed
was the prettiest angel
Be not afraid, she said
As she looked at me
She said with a smile
I've been watching over you
For a very long while
Everyone has an angel
I belong to you
Here to watch over
Whatever you may do
Always I'll be here
Throughout each day
Never will I leave you
Till we're both called away
Whenever you're lonely
And feeling blue
Always remember
I'm here for you
So have no doubts
Cast your fears away
For I shall be here
Till the very last day.
