Poetic license??

My autobiography stands
On that shelf
The one supposedly
Written by myself
Apart from those bits
Written by my ghost
To tell the truth
He wrote the most
There's lies and fictions
On every page
The only true thing
Is my age
Well almost
For to be true
They knocked off
A year or two
And of course
They used my name
They went and kept
That bit the same
In truth it's just a pack of lies
But I still think it's rather funny
As I sit here and
Rake in the money
And as I say
To my wife
Heck I wished I'd lived
That guy's life
She don't seem
So impressed
Though she's never before been
So beautifully dressed
As she smiles
And she appears with me
Regularly on
Chat TV
