I go out with my married friends
It's gotten so depressing,
We don't talk about styles or books
It's their husband's they're addressing.
I listen to their problems
To every little spat,
By the time I hear it all
I think I'll keep my cat !
He doesn't lie and he doesn't cheat
He doesn't yell or fight,
And when I climb in bed
I know where he is at night.
He doesn't mess up the bathroom
Doesn't leave an ugly sight,
He has his private place to go
And his aim is just right.
He cuddles and he purrs
He's loveable though sometimes a brat,
But all and all, from what I've heard
I think I'll keep my cat !
I won't give him up for romance
It changes and things go flat,
He doesn't take my money or car
I always know where everything's at.
He's faithful, loving and true
He never questions me or such as that,
I come and go as I please and he waits
YUP ! I'll keep my cat !!
