A Plea to God
Heavenly Father please help save,
All of us from the eternal grave;
Keep us out of death's dark door,
Caused by temptation's evil lure.
Cleanse our hearts deep inside,
Helping us through to abide;
Having only thoughts of you,
With Your Word in our view.
Keep us on the straight and narrow,
Today as well as into tomorrow;
Remaining on the righteous path,
For being spared from any wrath.
For You are our Lord and Master,
While Your plan is our forecaster;
Ever vigilant being always awake,
We know that you never forsake.
Your wisdom gives us the insight,
As faith is strengthen by Your might;
And we patiently wait for that day,
When Jesus returns to us for to stay.
