The Man

He's the man who took us to war
And he seem to be losing friends
Amidst the plots and counterplots
To bring his reign to an end
And he sits in number ten
And admits he's made mistakes
Then trots off to his friends
For all his regular breaks
He keeps his mutual fan club
With Old Georgie in the States
Maybe not just because both
Are running out of other mates
And more and more
To his surprise
People think
He tells us lies
He doesn't seem to comprehend
Just doesn't seem to know
It's the time to pack his bags
And to rather quietly go
He's the man who took us to war
And he carries on his back
The suffering and misery
Of the dead and dying in Iraq
