Totally Unprepared
My mind wanders through the past,
Of days that have gone by so fast;
A time that seemed easier than now,
Things we did wondering just how.
Because it seemed so simpler then,
At a time with remembering when;
Having no computers or the Internet,
There was no chat room that we met.
A time for solitude and be left alone,
When we did not carry a cell phone;
And isolate ourselves for thought,
Pondering what to do and what not.
For we could communicate well,
To where our Father does dwell;
And were able to honor and laud,
With devoting time for our God.
But now we move at a hectic pace,
No more time for His sweet embrace;
Technology tempts us from His path,
Totally unprepared to face His wrath.
