Warming Oceans
The sustained and infinite waves
Wash upon the beaches
Of Southern California
A corporate man leaves his desk--
The computer generated spread sheets and
Maps of global markets put away for the day
He takes his surfboard to catch
An evening wave and contemplate the mystery
And power of the ocean
Near Hudson Bay north of Ontario
The warming waters have shrunk the ice flows-
Their ancient hunting grounds-
A male polar bear crazed by hunger
Crashes the den of a nursing female
Leaving the cubs buried in the snow
