Sitting with Jesus
It would be wonderful for me,
Sitting with Jesus under a tree;
Shaded from a hot sunny day,
As I heard what He had to say.
His words as music to my ear,
Dancing about the atmosphere;
Giving my full attention span,
In listening as closely as I can.
His parables to take a new turn,
Giving new insight for to learn;
As His eyes and mouth express,
An agony of the strain and stress.
He told me that it is incomplete,
As He got back up on His feet;
On seeing the world in sad shape,
After a sacrificial display of agape.
He reached down to grab my hand,
In pulling me up to help me stand;
Then said He knew what we lack,
Not to fret for He would be back.
