 My Shoes
My Shoes

How do you know how I feel?
When you're not in my shoes
How do you know if it's real?
When I have a case of the blues
You just don't understand
What I am going through
To you life is grand
Well try being in my shoes

It is a very cruel world
Well at least it is to me
I want to roll up and curl
And set myself free
But I am too afraid
These demons in my head
Tell me it's too late
I'm better off dead

My life is one big circus
It has its ups and its downs
One day I'm star struck
Then the next I am a clown
I try to live my life
The way that I've been told
But things just don't seem right
I hate being controlled

So do you know how I feel?
When I feel like I'm all alone
Or is it no big deal
And you leave me on my own
Please make up your mind
I'm reaching out to you
And maybe you will find
You're wearing my own shoes
