 Meeting

She called to me across the ether
A conversation that would end
With the joy of discovering
A newly found dear friend
As we chatted and we laughed
In my mind I could gently hear
Flowing all over and around us
That music of the spheres
I asked her very politely
Would she care to dance
And took her in my arms
Not giving her the chance
To think or speak
Or say yes or no
Just join me in a waltz
With steps nice and slow
We just enjoyed the feeling
Danced and didn't speak
Body pressed to body
Cheek pressed to cheek
We circled for eternity
Me and my new friend
Until the ever ticking clock
Brought our dancing to an end
I left her there in cyber space
Both promising to seek and find
That ethereally created ballroom
To dance again there in the mind
She'd called to me across the ether
A conversation that would end
With the joy of discovering
A newly found yet dear friend
