'The Day She Cried'
'The Day She Cried'
The first time I saw her
While taking a walk
She took my breath away
I couldn't talk
So very elegant
And beautiful was she
Sitting in the park
While Looking at me
My heart went out
Hearing her cry
I felt a tear
Drop fom my eye
I sat beside her
And said with a smile
Please don't cry
It'll pass in a while
She wiped her eyes
And with a sweet reply
Said please forgive me
I didn't mean to cry
I asked if I could help
What could I do
She said you already have
You cried too
We talked through the day
I made her smile
Taking in her beauty
All the while
Many years later
We sat in the park
I remember that day
That seemed so dark
Never did she tell me
Why she cried that day
For it was her secret
I never took it away.
