A Quiet Place
To ask God, I want a place,
As quiet to feel His grace;
Secluded without a sound,
Having no one else around.
Not for praying in a crowd,
Or where music plays loud;
Rather where I can rejoice,
When I hear His soft voice.
He is my Father in Heaven,
With instructions be given;
So in order for me to obey,
Hearing as He tells me today.
Being it is important to me,
In hearing His latest decree;
And just what He does expect,
As I devote and show respect.
While in prayer from the start,
I want to feel peace in my heart;
Knowing only He can provide,
While it is quiet and can abide.
