Growing Up Spiritually

When I was a child,
Acting sort of wild;
For I loved to play,
Rather than to pray.

As my biggest joys,
Being of all my toys;
Spent hours of fun,
Holding my toy gun.

It was such a pleasure,
In seeing my treasure;
Especially the horn,
On Christmas morn.

Now that I have grown,
Jesus has really shown;
How to put my toys away,
While I kneel as I pray.

He gave me new insight,
In having seen the light;
With a new life to live,
That is eternally to give.
