Cleaning Out Temptation
You have got to believe,
The tempter can deceive;
The idiot and the wise,
As the master of disguise.
A wolf looking as a sheep,
Helping you to fall asleep;
So innocent building trust,
But fills your mind of lust.
Like a snake he will sneak,
Seeing where you are weak;
Slithering to find your desire,
What sparks your heart afire?
He can be sly just as a fox,
Like a thief who picks locks;
And be able to open a door,
For skeletons that you store.
But God can help you clean,
His Spirit will make a sheen;
Like Teflon temptations slip,
While causing Satan to trip.
