The Driving Force
The Lord is my stronghold,
As He helps me to be bold;
Through the toil and trouble,
That causes me to stumble.
I do not fear night or day,
Traveling on the highway;
Drivers who are careless,
Driving as if under duress.
I know God is in control,
And is abiding in my soul;
For He is my eyes and ears,
To keep me from the fears.
I know that His Word is true,
Always will see me through;
The confidence that I keep,
Will give me a restful sleep.
So as I drive I feel assured,
The road not to be obscured;
Regardless how far as to roam,
He ensures I get safely home.
