A POET'S HAND

A poet's imagination,
can be so intense,
powerful expressions,
with meaning and sense,
can enter the mind
in a rugged express,
and kindle the paths
paved with evil and distress,

The sea of love
will bring in the tide,
as it soothes the flames
with its true pride,
so does a poet,
traveling in his own land,
through his devotion,
he'll reach out his hand.

As the pencil begins to fade,
a poet's hand does not cease,
so he sharpens it with a blade,
and proceeds with ease.
