Crazy in Our Own Crazy Way

I sit here in my favorite chair,
wondering where will I go from here.
Shadows on my stucco walls, silently
dancing to music that I cannot hear at all.

I wish…I wish…I wish, I was elsewhere.
Elsewhere, I'm not…and now and here, this silent
music I must bear. It's so loud and hauntingly clear.

The time does not rhyme, for here is where
the music starts and where the music ends.
Darkness abounds… only loneliness seeps
from these silent sounds.

Madness overcomes reality and reason
exist only in the logic of the human mind.
The music plays over and over again,
but the sound is silence to its own kind.

I can hear them now…it's plain as day,
we are all crazy in our own crazy way.
