Our Anniversary is coming up fast
And the last 12 months has finally passed,
Three Hundred and Sixty Five long and lonely days,
To re-live our love and final parting of the ways.
I have re-lived the first flush of our romance
When we both walked round in a sort of trance,
We just couldn`t believe that it was true,
It was all so exciting and so new.
Our time together was snatched here and there,
At times we felt it just wasn`t fair,
But the bond between us kept us going
And our love for each other kept on showing.
At night we would talk for hours on end
And our love to each other we would send,
The missing each other was a physical pain
Wanting to hold each other nearly drove us insane.
I have re-lived all the times together we had,
They were wonderful but the parting was sad,
We would count the hours to our next meeting,
It was the thought of this that kept our hearts beating.
The final hour was soon upon us you see,
Together anymore we could no longer be,
It broke my heart into a thousand and one pieces,
I will love you `til the breath in my body ceases.
I`m sure you are thinking of me at this time
And to miss each other isn`t a crime,
You can`t stop your feelings no matter how you try,
I hope, like me, on this day, you will have a cry.
