 The Invitation

Matthew 22:2-3 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society

2"The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.
3He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come,
but they refused to come.

The Invitation

You say you are too busy
Too much is on your plate
That life it drives you crazy
That some things have to wait

Your schedule is so hectic
You do not have the time
Receive the invitation
Again you must decline

There is another banquet
He hopes that you'll be there
He sends to you His Spirit
But you don't seem to care

You choose your recreation
He offers you His peace
Decline His invitation
Your problems still increase

You say you are too busy
Too much is on your plate
The fact is you are lazy
But now it is too late

You got the invitation
It sits in front of you
You turned down His salvation
There's nothing left for you
