There once was a man
walking down the street
Was always someone
For him to greet
Dressed so eloquently
And kind when he talked
Had that special bounce
Always when he walked
So very gracious
To all he met
The kind of friend
You'll never forget
Everyone liked him
But envied him too
So many were thinking
I wish I were you
So on they went
Wishing instead
They were like this man
Who was so well read
No one ever knew
What was on his mind
All they could see
Was a man so kind
Finally one evening
While lying in bed
He took out his gun
And shot himself dead.
