Death and Taxes

Oh! How we fear it!
Oh! How we despise it!
Oh! How we refuse to think of it!
Oh! How we refuse to speak of it!

Ah! But Death is real,
it's sometimes patient,
then again it can strike
suddenly and violently.

Ah! Death …
can come quickly in the
night, like a thief and steal
a soul without letting anyone
know.

Ah! Death…
can be sweet
and take a suffering
soul in their sleep.

Ah! Death ..
Can be a delight
if the pain is more
than one can bear
through the night.

Ah! Death…
Will come to all
no matter how much
we cry or fight

As sure as
..... and Taxes
