The King is Coming

Awake, awake and get dressed,
For we are about to be blessed;
In giving us hope and to uplift,
Our Lord God is giving a gift.

An angel of the Lord has said,
In a vision while I was in bed;
Bringing glad tidings to the earth,
Of a virgin that is giving birth.

Grand Counselor Prince of Peace,
Whose reign shall never cease;
Lord of lords and King of kings,
Accompanied by angels He brings.

He shall judge both dead and alive,
Who shall perish or will survive;
Those who perish into a lake of fire,
For their illicit and immoral desire.

Those who live to have eternal life,
Away from the toils and the strife;
Sing to the Lord lift up your voice,
Be happy and glad as you rejoice.
