Oh What A LifeThis was written for me and put to music by my son Don Nicolson who is 29 and a singer songwriter. Watch out for him on the tele one day soon. verse 1 Oh what a life, your daddy passed away when you were twelve years old If he`s looking down from heaven his heart would overflow, you had so far to go. Oh what a life, you took trouble in your stride but always kept control So many children took your blood, but you still loved us all, with a heart of gold Your heart of gold Chorus So let the bells ring out and let the drummers beat Let the great fall down, right at your feet `Cause no-one could have done it Live a life so full of pain With words so full of wisdom you just took it on the chin You may have cried at home when you were all alone But you get up and try again So to me you are incredible I will love you for all time May the stars shine only for you now Oh Mother mine verse 2 Oh what a life Be proud of your achievments your story`s far from told You give more than you recieve, more than you`ll ever know You`ll ever know Chorus Vote for this poem |
