Putting TrustI was having a thought, Where we truly ought; Should be putting trust, So as to not gather dust. Many put it in the Lord, To be loved and adored; Living and reigning inside, If you are willing to abide. But others are not to sure, Would rather lock the door; Keeping the Lord God out, While being full of doubt. So they go through life, With the toils and strife; Making it hard to cope, Merely giving up hope. Whoever trusts in the Lord, While abiding in His Word; Be protected by His hands, If doing as He commands. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
